Designed originally for top water tiger fishing, this pattern will be as effective for bass as tigers. The darker colour combination allows you to fish this fly mid day or in low light conditions at dusk and dawn. We would recommend fishing this fly on a longer leader when the sun is high, or in clearer water. In low light, or windy conditions cut back your leader to around 7-8ft, allowing you to stay in touch and turn over your line more effectively, helping with accuracy especially when fishing up against structure. You can either pop this fly, or use a longer retrieve and slide it, creating a wake but not a pop.
