Combining the Joe's Hopper and a Muddler Minnow, Dave Whitlock from Oklahoma designed the Dave's Hopper in the 1950's. It's a great grasshopper imitation and can be found in most South African's fly boxes. It catches both Trout and Smallmouth Yellowfish equally as well. This variant incorporates a full foam body.
