Originally designed by Bob Veverka for Bonefish in South Andros, this variation will work for Bonefish just about anywhere. Although this fly imitates a mantis shrimp rather than a crab, we would fish it similarly to a Merkin or Senyos Crab. We would recommend fishing this fly on a floating line, vary your leader length based on how skittish your target species is, and retrieve with long slow draws. Although designed for Bonefish, you'll pick up other species such as Trigger fish as well.
