Ant patterns aren’t fished frequently in South Africa, but for yellows and trout they can make up a large food source and can be found all year round. They make for a great pattern on Sterkfontein Dam in the Freestate in particular. A size 18 ant on a sunny day with gin clear water will do the trick.
