Originally developed in by Lew Oatman USA to imitate stonefly nymphs. However in Stillwater it imitates dragonfly nymphs.
Marabou tail for movement, chenille body, a hot spot and hackle for legs.
This is a great fly fished on all lines floating, intermediate and sinking with a long leader.
The thorax comes in different orange and chartreuse, two of the preferred hotspot colours for trout.
Use the orange works well in winter and the fish are on the spawn.
