Hopper fishing can be very exciting due to the visual aspect. Any good hopper pattern needs to float well, have a good profile in the water and include some aspect of bugginess or be ultra realistic. This pattern, although not ultra realistic, ticks all the boxes. The rubber legs and wing makes it realistic, the orange foam post makes it more visible at distance for the angler, and due to the foam this pattern is great for dry and dropper fishing.
